How it works

We nicknamed the process, The Three P’s of production. If it’s your first time in the world of visually creative content, this will help you prepare for what goes on before, during and after.

Pre Production

Pre-production

The planning bit. This involves collaboration between you and us, so we can learn all about your brand personality and vibe.

  • Initial call or meeting to understand what you really want from your content.
  • Understanding your business, listening to your ideas and discussing your end-goals.
  • The germ of the idea forms - Putting together a creative proposal and estimate.
  • When you’re ready, a 50% deposit will take the project forward.
  • Moving forward from planning, into design. The creative bit (with some logistics).
  • Scripting, storyboarding, pitching ideas and turning that creative proposal into a refined schedule of works.
  • Coordinating the production stage to follow; dates, locations and people – anything we need to bring your story to life.
Video production

Production

The fun bit! There are three essential stages that result in the production of the goods for video and photography (animation production is slightly different, but the same sort of principle).

  • Set up: If using our studio, we’ll get things ready to roll. If we’re on location, we’ll arrive with everything we need to get going. You only need to provide the space and the face (if you want to).

  • Shooting/Creating: We’ll make everyone feel as comfortable as we can in front of the camera. We’ll go over any lines and live action and do as many takes as you need. For video, we’ll also shoot extra film called B-roll, for cut-scenes and added interest.

    For animation, this is where the magic happens, crafting the action around the story.

  • Pack down: Exactly as it sounds… We’ll pack everything away and leave everything as we found it.

Post-Production

The techy bit. Here’s where your images come together through editing, colour and sound checks, to make absolutely sure it looks and sounds great from brilliant beginning to exceptional end.

Once everything is signed off and delivered, we’ll arrange for the final payment to wrap it up, as we say in the business.
